Sunday we went to see my Dad, he has a small cabin on the river. We haven't really been much in the past. Although that is going to change, we are definitely going more often. The kids had a blast playing with Keelee (my niece). Oh and I must mention the food, the food is really great. I grew up eating catfish and deer steak. That is definitely my dad's specialty.
Monday I was offered a job and I had to spend a few days really thinking about what I should do. I turned it down of course. The money always sounds nice but when reality kicks in and I realize just how much time I will miss with my family, I always turn it down.
By Wednesday I had this terrible cold that I am finally getting over. I would love to have my voice back. Hubby would agree that I really like to talk. We bought Storm and Haley these really cool t-shirts from their school. I just love suprising the kiddos. Friday was wonderful, Nana and Papa came to see the kids. We went to Ryan's for dinner.
Saturday we went birthday shopping for Talon. His birthday is still a month away but we like to get it done early. We let him pick out his party decorations, and he chose Spongebob. I was a little suprised I thought he would have chosen zoo pals. This will be our third Spongebob party Storm and Haley are also big fans. I guess some characters never get old. We went to Target and found the kids some really
Hubby picked out a really pretty Fall wreath for our door. He said look its only $7. We grabbed it, little did we know it was $25. We still bought it.
Storm finally saved enough of his allowance to get cable in his room. He and Haley stayed up late watching "Garfield" and "Star Wars". It is breathtaking to see how fast our kids are growing up. Sometimes I have to pause and try to (for lack of better words) absorb/savor our moments together.
